LWI's 2020 Annual Conference

Theme

Leading with Integrity Foundation’s annual integrity conference, entitled ‘Integrity: Building Block of Economic Recovery’ was a timely event for the perilous times that we are living amidst of the pandemic. Irrespective of country, wealth, industry, culture or social status, COVID-19 has impacted us all, leaving even the most stable economies desperately scrambling the pieces to recover. While the world is frantically exploring ways for speedy economic recovery, LWI addressed the mostly neglected building block of economic growth: Integrity. During this conference, viewers were challenged by the speakers to identify the main cause of systematic corruption and to re-instate integrity as the indispensable building block of sustainable growth of our economies. Speakers

The 2020 conference was inaugurated by the former Governor and former President of the Court of Justice, both, of the former Netherlands Antilles, Prof. mr. Jaime Saleh. The local speakers were Drs. Mallory Cijntje, Apologist and Mr. Nelson Foendoe, Chairman of Leading with Integrity Foundation, author and retired Macro Economics teacher. The international key note speaker was Mr. Michael Ramsden, President of RZIM, Researcher in Law & Economics.


EVENT

The conference took place on October 18th from 9:00-11:00 PM and was broadcasted via TV Direct 13 and TeleCuraçao. From the very start the audience was immersed into a unique experience, through a combination of film, live interactions and even entertainment by Aemy to keep all engaged throughout the program. The program was broadcasted in Papiamentu, with exception of the keynote speaker who spoke in English with subtitling. During the LIVE Q&A session, participants were able to ask questions and interact with the speakers.
